Do I need a reservation?

Come in anytime to paint your own pottery or make fused glass. No reservation, class or experience needed!

If you are coming with a group of 6 or more, please call That Art Place to make a reservation so we have a table ready for you. Most of our tables are set for 2 or 4 so we will put tables together for you. View our hours.

Paint your own pottery or make fused glass anytime at That Art Place! No reservation, class or experience needed. No time to wait for the kiln? Try our non-fired pottery paint and take your finished piece home the same day!

If you’d rather create at home, we also offer Pottery To-Go kits in our studio.

Art classes are also available for kids and adults.

What can I make at That Art Place?

Yes! You are welcome to bring food and/or drinks to enjoy while you paint pottery, make fused glass or take a class. As long as your snacks don’t need an extra table for themselves!

Our studio is BYOB. Please drink responsibly.

We don’t recommend eating greasy food while you paint pottery. It doesn’t always burn off in the kiln and can stain your piece.

  • Weekly preschool, homeschool and afterschool art classes during the school year which cover a full, age-appropriate art education

Do you do parties?

Yes! We have a private party room you can rent for your next celebration or you can just make a table reservation in our regular studio. Simply, book your party online, invite guests and show up!

We also offer art projects for corporate events, on-site events and fundraisers.

What ages can make art at That Art Place?

All ages are welcome in our studio!

We recommend Pottery Painting for ages 3 - 103. Preschoolers and babies have the prefect hands/feet for making prints! We do have a couple highchairs available for our littlest artists.

Fused Glass is recommend for ages 8 - 88 (because you’re working with tiny shards of glass!)

I missed a cool class! Will you offer it again?

We occasionally repeat our classes, but they do change with the seasons. You can schedule your own class when you bring a group of 6 students. Choose from any of our previously offered fused glass or clay projects only. Give us a call to plan your private class today!

If you missed a fused glass workshop, but love the project, you can often create something similar in our walk-in fused glass studio. Our staff will be available for guidance.

Do you fire pottery, greenware, clay, ceramics or glass that was not made at your studio?

We only fire items that were purchased and made at our studio using our materials. There are many varieties of fired art materials that all require different firing temperatures. We stick with what we know!
