This six-week series is perfect for beginners who are eager to try their hand at wheel throwing, as well as those with a little prior experience who want to deepen their skills. In this hands-on course, you’ll learn the fundamentals of creating pottery on the wheel and go step-by-step through each stage of the process, from centering clay to glaze application.
What You’ll Learn:
Centering, pulling walls, and shaping clay
Throwing bowls, plates, mugs, vases, pitchers, and serving dishes
Trimming, carving, and adding handles
Glazing techniques, including wax resist and layering combinations

Tuesday: Throwing a bowl and a plate
Thursday: Trimming and carving your pieces
Week 2:
Tuesday: Throwing a mug and a vase
Thursday: Trimming and adding handles
Week 3:
Tuesday: Throwing a pitcher and a serving dish

Glazing Day (Feb. 11): Learn the basics of glaze application and wax resist to finish your creations beautifully.
