Cost: No studio fees! Pieces start at just $16. The price of the piece includes glaze, tools, instruction and firing if needed.

Steps for Painting Pottery
Step 1: Choose a piece of pottery to paint!
We have hundreds of items to choose from including dinnerware, home decor, figurines, and gift items.
Step 2: Choose your design.
Find inspiration from one of our example pieces or knowledgeable staff. No experience necessary! We will guide you through the process.
Step 3: Pick your favorite paint colors and get to work!
Relax and enjoy painting the day away in our cheerful studio.
Step 4: Purchase your artwork.
For our non-fired paint you can take your project home the same day. For our pottery glaze, we will dip your piece in clear glaze to make it food safe, fire it in our kilns, and text/call you in 10-14 days when it’s ready to pick up!
Steps for Pottery To-Go
Step 1: Pick and purchase your pieces at That Art Place. Choose pottery glaze or non-fired paint for your piece. We will package everything to-go for no additional fee!
Step 2: Paint your pottery at home (or the location of your choice!) If you are painting with our non-fired pottery paint, you are done!
Step 3: If you are painting with our kiln-fired pottery glaze, return your pottery to That Art Place to be fired.
Step 4: We will contact you in about 2 weeks when your piece is ready to take home.

We offer two different kinds of glaze at our studio
And we love them both! They each have their strengths and our helpful staff is excited to show you examples of each in our studio.
Our non-fired pottery paint is wonderful for projects you want to take home the same day. Perfect for parties!
Our traditional pottery glaze is required for all food related pottery. After a trip in the kiln, it is food-safe, dishwasher safe and waterproof.
