Take your pottery skills to the next level in this pottery wheel series! If you’ve attended a few of our beginner classes or feel ready to deepen your skills, this is the perfect opportunity! We will review basic skills and also explore tall and more complex forms.

What You’ll Learn:

• Throwing techniques for creating platters, baking dishes, tumblers, tall vases, canisters, and lids

• Trimming, carving, and adding decorative details

• Advanced glazing techniques, including layering, wax resist, and dip glazing

Class Plan:

• Week 1:

  • Tuesday: Throw a baking dish and platter

  • Thursday: Trim and carve your pieces

• Week 2:

  • Tuesday: Throw tumblers and tall vases

  • Thursday: Trim and carve

• Week 3:

  • Tuesday: Throw canisters with lids

  • Thursday: Carve and refine your creations

• Glazing Day (March 18): Learn to layer glazes, use wax resist, and experiment with dip glazing to bring vibrant finishes to your pieces.
